Objective and Philosophy
Master of Science (MS) Program in Management Information Systems (MIS) focuses on the application of information systems concepts to the collection, storage, and retrieval of information for management decision making and planning. The program blends, theory and practice into a learning experience that develops skills applicable to the complex and changing real-world problems. It intends to prepare individuals to enhance their effectiveness in organizations through knowledge of information processes as instruments for achieving organizational goals. This specialized program also offers students opportunities to develop their skills necessary for corporate IT management and decision-making. The program is designed both for practicing computer professionals who want to develop their career in information systems. Thus program requirements will vary from student to student and are determined personally for each candidate depending on experience, previous education, and preferred career path.
Masters of Science (MS) Program in Management Information Systems (MIS) has the following specific objectives: To provide sound theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the application of Information and Communications Technology in Management Decision Making and Planning; To develop competencies necessary for effective management of Information Systems Functions in organizations of both public and business sectors; and To develop the Research and Analytical Skills necessary to study various IT issues.
Program Structure
The total of 36 credit hours is required to obtain an MS in MIS degree. Credits are distributed in the following manner:

** Students who have completed 4 years B. Sc. degree from an Engineering background (other than CSE) or 4 years B. Sc. degree with a strong background in Mathematics or Physics from an approved university will need to complete additional 12 credits.

Application Requirement
Students who have a CGPA of 2.5 (out of 4) or equivalent in any one of the following degree can apply:
